Dr. Ya-El Mandel is the Head of Life Sciences

Dr. Ya-El Mandel is leading the Life sciences division of SCALE. She is a trained scientist and entrepreneur, specializing in clinical development and clinical trials execution.
Dr. Mandel has an extensive experience in clinical research; in her last role before joining SCALE she was a founding member and SVP of Clinical Development, Clinical Operations and Data management at Equilibre Biopharma, a privately held company developing a drug for Treatment Resisting Epilepsy. Under her role she brought the asset from first in human study all the way to a large-scale Phase 3 clinical trial (450 patients globally).
Dr. Mandel holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Research from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a M.Sc. degree in Cardiac Physiology and Biophysics from the Technion and B.EMS degree in Emergency Medicine from Ben Gurion University.
Dr. Mandel holds an adjunct Assistant professor appointment at the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she mentors students and residents on engagement and execution principals of industry sponsored studies.
