Erika Jackson

Erika Jackson is a healthcare professional, specializing in legal, compliance and risk management. Erika joined the healthcare industry in 2006 as paralegal of Vision Group Holdings (formerly Vision Care Holdings), a multi-unit ophthalmic and optometric management company specializing management of refractive laser centers. During her 15-year employ there, Vision Group Holdings grew to support over 150 locations throughout the US and Canada, accomplished through aggressive acquisition and de-novo growth which Erika was closely involved in. Erika served many roles during this time in addition to her role in legal and risk management, working across many other areas of the business, such as development, operations, customer service and records management. Erika most recently served as Compliance Officer, Privacy Officer and Director of Legal, where she led the creation and ongoing operations of Vision Group’s Compliance Program, Risk Management Program, Credentialing Program, and Legal Department. Erika and her team worked in close collaboration with all departments, providing operational support, creating and facilitating education, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations as well as the organization’s policies and risk management program throughout all facets of the business.

Erika left Vision Group Holdings in 2020, later opening Jackson Business Solutions through which she provides compliance, legal and risk management support to various healthcare and non-healthcare clients.

Erika received a B.S. in Legal Studies from South University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She also holds a nationally recognized certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC®) from the Healthcare Compliance Association and several nationally recognized Advanced Certifications from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). Erika is also a Florida licensed real estate agent and is a former member of American Mensa.
