Full Bio:

Keith is a seasoned CEO with a record of delivering consistent, profitable growth in highly complex systems and turnarounds. He has senior executive experience in diverse types of organizations and is a proven advisor to 22 companies ranging from well-established businesses to start-ups.

Keith is currently a CEO Advisor at Safian & Company, LLC, where he brings decades of hands-on leadership experience in operations, strategy, and growth to guide established public and privately-held businesses including imaging centers, a clinical research organization, physician practices, and 11 start-ups.

Previously, Keith was the President and CEO of Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, one of the largest employers in Westchester County, NY with 1,700 employees and 500 physicians.  Over the course of his 25-year tenure, he orchestrated turnaround and sustained growth, increasing revenues from $40MM to $230MM. A few of his accomplishments at Phelps include introducing ahead-of-market services such as a biologics infusion center and 12-place hyperbaric chamber, establishing strategic affiliations with NYC- and Long Island-based health systems, expanding ambulatory services to generate the majority of revenue, and raising the largest gift in the hospital’s history. He also initiated a “Culture of Kindness”, which transformed the patient and employee experience.

In addition to leading hospitals, Keith served as President of PHMC Realty General Partnership, Robin’s Nest Child Care, and Phelps Professional Building Limited Partnership, and as Chairman of the NorMet Hospital Association and The ExcelCare System. He has served on 20 Boards of Directors.

Keith received an MBA from the Wharton Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania majoring in both Management and Health Care Administration, plus bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.  He also holds an Information Systems Certificate from Wharton.
